After finishing the studies , for finishing the required internship , the recognition of Curricular Practical Training (CPT)and Optional Practical Training (OPT) should be obtained. Through this only a student can work for 12 months in United States.                                                                  

Moreover , a student can get the extension till 17 months for one time. But , this extension offer is provided only for those who have completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Technology , Engineering and Mathematics like courses.
