Started in September 2009 last year, totally more than 4,80,000 students joined in Bachelor’s course of Britain. Among them 56,000 students are from foreign.

Terms of Admission

The terms of Admission varies depending on the particular course and the educational Institution. In A stage minimum 180 UCAS points or equal to that will be there.For the competitive courses there should be 300 or more points.

Bachelor’s Degree    

             

The Bachelor’s degree is for 3 years in England, Scotland and Ireland and through this Honors will be obtained. At the same time in Scotland, the bachelor’s degree is for 3 years and Honors course is for 4 years. Sometimes , according to the particular educational institution’s tradition, the bachelor’s degree will be provided with the Masters qualification.

In Britain , the lectures and the seminars provided in the educational institutions including tutorials in teaching methods and contents and features there is no standard features. usually the lecture will be provided to the students assembled in auditorium or theatres. Students should listen to that and take notes.

According to the seminars , for small teams of students, it will be done with one or more teachers. In these methods, students can discuss about the lectures and the students will be asked to take points to discuss.

Review System

In many universities and colleges of Britain, the first year exam results are not considered into account in the final year degree providing process. Second and third year results along with the marks will be taken in account for the degree providing process.

Added to that, some colleges and educational institutions, are using modular system assessment methods. In this method the subjects will be separated on the basis of units. The higher grade is the first class degree. At the same time 2:1 which is upper second (honours) stage will be provided a huge. Next to this 2:2 like some stages are there. Students who are not cleared these stages will be given pass stage or an ordinary stage degrees.

Combined and Joint honours degrees

Some educational institutions , are providing a chance of studying two or more subjects as a combined or joint honours degree stage. Several subjects will be there in the combined degree stage.  But it is not necessary that equal weightage is to be there for all the subjects. At the same time in the Joint honours degree , 2 subjects will be at equal weightage.

Sandwich courses

Sandwich courses are degree courses. This is for 4 years instead of 3 years.With work experience in the final year you can return back to the college and you can complete the course.

Sandwich couse is one which makes you gain work experience when studying. Through this the student is gaining work experience along with the educational qualification when leaving the institution. And from this the student is able to get easier and good job opportunities. Added to this another one special feature in this is in the sandwich year you can get your  salary.

Degrees from Foreign Education
